How to Catch and Keep a Vampire - Book Review

How to Catch and Keep a Vampire: A Step-By-Step Guide to Loving the Bad and the Beautiful
by Diana Laurence
Sellers, 2009

[read an interview with Diane Laurence]

With tongue firmly planted in cheek the author offers " A Step-By-Step Guide to Loving the Bad and the Beautiful."

Diana calls on her own extensive experience with these sexy immortals to help us normal humans understand their peculiarities and how to deal with them. For the most part this self help book is aimed at mortal women with vampire boyfriends, but men can also benefit from the helpful advice.

Diana is encouraging, "You can meet a vampire, you can woo and win him, you can forge the kind of relationship you've dreamed of."

Of course you must be careful because some vampires are not so nice in fact they can be positively lethal! Then there are those that have a cruel streak, but perversely they can also be the sexiest. As always check your choice out with care. Admittedly that can be difficult when bedazzled by their good looks and charm.

Throughout the books there are numerous, not to be missed, FAQs about the Undead. Examples follow.

Q "You talk about 'good' vampires. I thought all vampires had lost their souls, so how does that work?"

Q "Are all vampires cold to the touch?"

Q "How do vampires get around paying taxes?"

Q "Is there any issue with blood type compatibility if you want to convert? I'm type A-positive and my vampire boy-friend is B-negative?"

So, you get the idea. This is strictly a just for fun kind of book. Something to pick up when you want to lighten your mood and maybe fantasize about blood suckers.

[The publisher sent me a copy of this book and I am very grateful]
