At Grave's End (Night Huntress, Book 3)
by Jeaniene Frost. Coming December 30, 2008 from Avon!
From the publisher: It should be the best time of half-vampire Cat Crawfield's life. With her undead lover Bones at her side, she's successfully protected mortals from the rogue undead. But though Cat's worn disguise after disguise to keep her true identity a secret from the brazen bloodsuckers, her cover's finally been blown, placing her in terrible danger.

Says Patricia Briggs, "This (Wolfsbane and Mistletoe
, Ace, 2008) is an anthology of Christmas-themed urban fantasy short stories. My entry is called Star of David, and centers on David Christiansen, who was briefly mentioned in Moon Called. It's a heartwarming story of how murder and deception can bring a family together. " Read an excerpt

Jeri Smith-Ready has an interview (and giveaway!) with Carrie Jones, author of Need (Bloomsbury, 2008). "Need is a brand-new young adult, contemporary fantasy from Carrie Jones, and it's guaranteed to make you shiver. Not just because it's set in Maine, but because its bogeymen are not vampires or werewolves (though there are a few of the latter), but pixies... That's right, pixies. They're tall, fast, and like most fey creatures, have magically irresistible auras. And they're spooky. Trust me, you'll never look at gold glitter the same way again."
Giveaway includes a signed hardcover copy of Need and a $15 Amazon gift card. Contest ends Sunday Dec. 28, 2008.

I really liked the Patricia Briggs short story. Everything Briggs writes is amazing, though I admit to not have read her older stuff.
I hear wonderful things about her work, but have not read any of it yet.
As soon as I finish the books in my must read pile, Briggs will be next!
